Aug 5 (Reuters) - Europe's largest copper producer Aurubis ( opens new tab reported operating core profit for the first nine months of its 2024-2025 financial year that was slightly above market expectations on Tuesday helped by higher contributions from sulfuric acid, copper products and precious metals Operating earnings before tax fell to 286 million euros ($330.44 million) in the first nine months of Aurubis' financial year, from 333 million euros a year earlier. That beat analysts' expectations of 281 million euros in a company-provided poll. ($1 = 0.8655 euros)

Hong Kong's Chan Says City On Track for Surplus This Year: RTHK

Hong Kong may record an operating surplus for the current financial year if economic momentum continues, rather than the previously expected deficit, RTHK reported Financial Secretary Paul Chan as saying. Chan told a radio program that the government originally forecast a deficit of 'a few billion' in the operating account for the fiscal year ending March 2026 but there is a chance of a surplus if growth continues into the second half, according to RTHK.

Lastly, there are also new versions of the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S and Renault Duster. June's End of Financial Year deals were the most comprehensive in recent years. Rob Leigh, co-founder of The Beep, said there were more than 180 special offers on new vehicles last month. 'I don't think I've ever seen end of financial year sales to be more aggressive than what they are today,' Mr Leigh said. 'It feels like there are more campaigns than ever. Pretty much every brand has something in the market.' a 12 month sales high.
